Within the Fold

Follow us on our journey - It’s a Hoot!

Dear Friends,

We hope this newsletter finds you well! We are excited to share with you all about our journey over the past few months. As you may know, we made the decision to become nomads and sold almost everything we owned. We packed our belongings into our trusty van, Ferdinand, and hit the open road with our family of seven.

Our journey, which we lovingly refer to as the Hootenanny Chronicles, took us across the United States. From the lakes of South Dakota to the festival Silobration in Waco Texas, we experienced so much natural beauty and diverse culture. We loved catching up with family & friends along the way and created many unforgettable memories.

Eventually, we made our way to the US-Mexico border and crossed into Mexico. We were nervous but excited to begin our new life as expats. We rented a house in a charming town and started to learn about Mexican culture and language. We have had some challenges along the way, but we are embracing the journey and growing as a family.

Living in Mexico has been an incredible experience. We have fallen in love with the warm weather, friendly people, and delicious food. Our kids are thriving, and we are enjoying all the adventures that come with living in a new country. We are even planning to build a house for ourselves to call home.

We are so grateful for all the love and support you have given us throughout this journey. We hope you will continue to follow along with the Hootenanny Chronicles as we explore this beautiful country and create new memories.

THIS COMING WEEK be on the lookout for our next video in which we visit an organic farm that inspired us as we prepare to break ground on our homestead in the next couple of weeks (Mexico time)!

We also have started a business to support Homeschooling moms. We are thrilled to welcome you to our community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for faith and family. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and resources you need to strengthen your faith and nurture your family's spiritual growth. Click here for an overview of the organizer.

As a thank you for joining us, we are excited to offer you a FREE weekly digital organizer to help you stay organized and focused on your faith journey. This handy tool will guide you through your weekly liturgical celebrations, providing you with all the necessary details to make each celebration a meaningful and joyful experience.

As part of The Fold, you'll also gain access to other exclusive content, such as a private journal to print at home. This journal is the perfect tool to help you reflect on your spiritual journey and keep track of your progress in the morning and evening.

Click the button below to download your free digital organizer and join our community of faith and family.

This is a free resource and we hope it helps others in their faith journey. If you find it helpful, please feel free to share this email with others!

We offer this resource for free, and our plan is to create a community with helpful resources for Catholic homeschooling moms. We will provide weekly encouragement, tips on integrating faith and family, reminders to simplify your planning, virtual retreats, live events, and more. However, we need to build the community first.

In addition to creating a community for homeschooling moms, we hope to spin off this effort to help other groups as well. For example, we have a Catholic organizer designed specifically for realtors. We are excited to explore other ways we can support and serve different groups within the Catholic community.

Tips or Navigating Faith, Family, and Education

"Let us remember that a child is a gift from God, and it is our responsibility to raise that child in the way of the Lord."

Saint Padre Pio

Homeschooling can be a rewarding experience for both parents and children, but it can also be challenging. When you are trying to incorporate your Catholic faith into your homeschooling curriculum, it can be even more difficult to balance everything. Here are some practical tips to help you make the most of their journey:

  • Did you know that spending just 15 minutes in prayer or reflection each day can improve your mental health and overall well-being?

  • Make time for prayer and reflection: Incorporate prayer and reflection time into your homeschooling day. This can be as simple as starting each day with a morning prayer or saying a prayer before lunch. You can also incorporate Catholic devotions and traditions, such as saying the rosary or Angelus. Our organizer is full of tools to help you live this out simply.

  • Stay organized: Organization is key to successful homeschooling. Keep a schedule, a record of your children's progress, and a plan for the year. This will help you stay on track and ensure that your children are meeting their academic goals.

Catholic homeschooling can be a challenging but rewarding experience. By following these practical tips, you can ensure that your homeschooling journey is fruitful and aligned with your faith.
